The Lemmingtopian Religion is based on a mixture of worshiping the Hellenic (Greek) gods as well as ancient mystic faith elements,
Unlike in traditional hellenism, Lemmingtopias may consider any of the 12 Olympian deities as the Chief God instead of Zeus and there are vaious denominations each favouring a different deity. The most popular are Poseidon and Dionysos. As well as the main 12 gods and goddesses there are many other lesser deities, some hellenic and others of a local or even foreign nature and local heroes and ancestors are also worshipped. Lemmingtopians believe that after death they go to Hades where they must reflect on their lives before being reincarnated and they may be reincarnated as a human or another animal or even an insect - though most adherents do not believe animals go to Hades and are instead instantly reincarnated. If a person has lived a good life, they will be honoured upon reaching Hades. Any person that has been so honoured three times in a row will live forever in the Isles of the Blessed.
The Head of the Religion is the Lemming Sage who is chosen from the 12 High Sages (one from each denomination) upon the death of the previous sage. Although the Lemming Sages are not reincarnates of their predecessors, as they typically are seasoned monks upon being selected, it is believed that they become the past Sages upon being selected through becoming a kind of multi-person. The Lemming Sage is considered a sacred person and is referred to as His Holiness.
Religion is a huge factor in Lemmingtopian life. While other religions are allowed and benfit from substantial protections, the Lemmingtopian faith is built into the fabric of Lemmingtopian society. Around 45% of Lemmingtopian boys become monks as well as around 10% of girls. The Faith has constantly tried to attract more females into monastic life throughout its history to little avail.
Unlike most other religions, the Lemmingtopian faith allows female priests and monks, believes that life does not start untl birth (meaning it has not stood in the way of abortion rights), supports euthanasia for suffering people and animals and is usually accepting of the LGBT+ Community and non-adherants. They believe all people, whether they believe in the Lemmingtopian faith or not, go through the same cycle of death, hades and rebirth and even non-believers and adherants of other religions could be rewarded with eternal life in the Isles of the Blessed. Most Lemmingtopians do not eat meat as animals could be reincarnated ancestors and it is prohibited to take life, except to end suffering. Vegetarianism is a legal requirement in Lemmingtopias for this reaon, although enforcement varies across the country.

There are five main prohibitons in Lemmingtopianism:
- 1. Killing Living Beings (including animals).
2. Theft (though there are many debates about what theft is and many priests have encouraged those who annot afford to eat to steal from major corporations.
3. Sexual Misconduct (this is usually interpreted as a prohibition on rape and abusive sexual practices though some more conservative priests claim it is prohibited to have sex outside of marriage).
4. False words (it is prohibited to lie, though many priests distinguish between lies told in order to good and lies told in order to benefit oneself).
5. Intoxication (this is overwhelmingly meant to mean being excessively drunk and only a small number of priests prohibit alcohol entirely).
