There are several visas available for foreign persons to visit Lemmingtopias, depending on the purpose of their visit and the location in the nation they will be visiting.
The Sun, Sea and Sand Visa
This Visa is popular with tourists travelling to one of the thousands of resorts on the coast. With the exception of the Capital City, It allows all foreign persons to visit any locality in Lemmingtopias that borders the sea if they enter the country by ferry or by an airport near the coast. It is much easier to get than the normal tourist visa and is also cheaper. It can simply be bought online for 2 Drachmas and either printed off or presented on a mobile device. It can also be purchased on arrival for 3 Drachmas. It lasts 22 days but cannot be extended.
The Tourist Visa
The Tourist Visa is designed for holidaymakers. It lasts 15 days, costing 30 drachmas, and can be extended once in Lemmingtopias for up to two months, for a cost of 2 drachmas per day. It needs to be purchased online or through an embassy/consulate and will be posted to you. It allows access to around 60% of Lemmingtopias including all coastal localities, except the Capital City. Visitors from nations in Atlantis or the Commonwealth may be better off getting the Atlantis Visa.
The Atlantis Visa
The Atlantis Visa is designed for visitors from Atlantian Nations or Commonwealth Member Nations. It provides access to 80% of localities, including all those accessible with the Tourist Visa. It lasts 30 days, costing 15 drachmas, and can be extended by up to six months an indefinite amount of times in Lemmingtopias for 1 Drachma per day. It does not grant access to the the Capital City.
Business Visa
The Business Visa provides access to all major cities, except the Capital City. You order it online and you need to state how long your business trip will last and where you will be travelling to during your trip. The price will then be quoted instantly and you just print it off.
Lomapolis Visa
The Lomapolis Visa is one of only two visas that grants access to the Capital City. It costs 100 Drachmas plus 2 Drachmas per day. You can order it for up to four weeks and it will be sent to you but if you already have a business visa you can phone or email to have it converted to one that includes a Lomapolis Visa. You can also buy it in Lemmingtopias. Once in Lemmingtopias it can be extended by up to three months at a time for an unlimited number of times, costing 120 Drachmas per extension (with no daily fee added).
The Holy Mounains Visa
This visa allows access to the Holy Mountains. It can only be ordered by post in a letter stating why you want the visa, what dates for, where you will be staying and what activities you will be carrying out. Your letter should be detailed and you should expect it to take several months before your visa arrives. There is no charge but you should include stamped addressed envelope in the letter with a Lemmingtopian Stamp. Ask your local embassy or consulate for the appropriate stamp. There is no guaruntee your visa will be accepted and the dates you ask for may not be possible. Some Lemmingtopian temples or friendship societies outside Lemmingtopias will arrange the visa for you, though embassies/consulates cannot be of assistance or give specific advise.
Restricted Visa
Around 20% of Lemmingtopian localities do not accept normal Lemmingtopian Visas and another 20% only accept visas from Atlantian or Commonwealth nationals. Some of these will allow you to buy a visa once in Lemmingtopias to enter their locality and the prices can range from free to thousands of drachmas depending on the locality you wish to visit. Many do not offer these visas at all. The Restricted Visa is the only visa that allows access to all these localities and can be cheaper than some of the more heavily priced visas some of these localities charge. The Restricted Visa allows access to all of Lemmingtopias except the Holy Mountains. In order to apply you must first send a letter to your local embassy explaining why you should be granted one, your proposed dates of access, you proposed point of entry and a full list of all the 'restricted' localities you wish to visit. The Embassy will either reject your application or they will send you a formal application form along with a letter asking any questions they have. Fill out the application form and respond to the letter, sending them back to the embassy. If this stage of the application is accepted, the Embassy will then invite you to make an appointment for an interview. At the interview any further questions will be asked and, if accepted, your picture will be taken and a photo-ID card will be issued to you. You will need to pay 1,000 Drachmas at this interview. Once in Lemmingtopias you must visit the local council for a final interview in order for you to be given access to the restricted localities. You will need to pay three drachmas per day of your entire stay in Lemmingtopias plus 100 drachmas if you wish to enter Lomapolis (maximum of three months in Lomapolis at which point you must buy a Lomapolis Visa). You can change the details of dates, localities, etc on your visa while in Lemmingtopias by visiting the local council in a non-restricted locality. It costs 150 Drachmas each time you amend the details. Amendments are subject to approval.
The Religious Visa
The Religious Visa provides access to Lemmingtopias for those visiting for religious purposes, such as to become a monk or have an extended stay at a religious site when no other visa would allow this or to visit a religious site in a 'restricted' locality. It is free of charge but you need an approved religious figure of the Lemmingtopian faith in your country to order it for you. It can take several months to arrange. If there is no Lemmingtopian religious organisation in your country you will need to travel to Lomapolis and ask for one at the Service Centre outside the Palace of the Sages, though there is no guaruntee they will agree to assist you and you will need a letter of commendation from the site you intend to visit. Once you have the visa and arrive at the designated religious site, they will take the visa from you and send it to the Lemmingtopian Government. They will give you an exit visa when you leave allowing you seven days to leave Lemmingtopias without needing a further visa. If you become an ordained monk in Lemmingtopias, you will be granted the status of a Lemmingtopian National, provided you entered with a Religious Visa and this has been recieved by the Lemmingtopian Government. If you cease to be a monk within your first three years after being ordained, your status as a National will usually be withdrawn and you will need to immediately visit a local council to obtain a free emergency seven day Visa.
Any foreigner caught in Lemmingtopias without a valid Visa is likely to be detained and charged 10,000 Drachmas for an emergency visa. It is not possible to leave Lemmingtopias without a valid Visa, nor will the authorities allow those without one to continue movement. Therefore, failure to pay the charge will likely result in being indefinitely detained.
