Statement by Surge on the Selection of a Commonwealth Chairperson
Surge has decided not to Stand a Candidate for the position of Commonwealth Chairperson at the First Commonwealth Convention.
Surge is currently mounting campaigns to get a Surge candidate elected to the positions of Head of the Commonwealth, Commonwealth President and Commonwealth Secretary. We believe strongly that no matter how well we do as a party in the coming days, there should be a credible opposition in the Commonwealth Leadership during these initial stages of Commonwealth Development.
Therefore, we have chosen not to stand a candidate this time round and support the candidacy of Bettisia, an independent candidate.
Surge looks forward to the next Commonwealth Convention where will field a Surge Candidate for the position of Chairperson.
